The print on this dress is based on the art of the incredible science artist Ferruccio Tartuferi who drew what he saw through the microscope in 1887. In his diagram the horizontal and amacrine cells are clearly represented, as are the rods, cones and bipolar cells. This print is what eye neurons looks like at a cellular level.

This is my defacto hot nerd dress now. I love it so much! Measurements are very clear in the sizing and it fit perfectly. The pattern is just so beautiful in person - the hot pink/yellow/blue color combination is bright and vibrant but it isn't as screaming loud as I was a little worried it might be. I felt stylish and like I had a personal joke on all day - I bought it to wear to present a paper at a technical conference for SMPTE. Being a colorist and involved with imaging/color science, what more could I have asked for than adorable retinal cells keeping me confident all day?
This dress was perfect for my graduation from optometry school. Not only did I get to officially walk across the stage as a doctor, I was also a retina (under my gown). Friends and teachers loved it!
It fit exactly as described (a little long, but I'm 5'1"), arrived earlier than expected, and looks like it's supposed to!
