Winter Update: I've been super busy feverishly working on new print designs for the next collection! It's always one of my favorite part of the process: Here's what's coming soon to the shop!
This one is inspired by my love for the fashion designs of Jean-Paul Gaultier, Kraftwerk, and Tron. I got really excited about the concept of designing the body surface to be like a 3D wireframe like in animation.
Needless to say, everyone's favorite movie of the moment is Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For some reason I often remembered the opening crawl scene of the original, with the text zooming into the distance... loved the "zooming into the stars" idea!
I've always been moved by the minimalist work by Mondrian, especially Yves Saint Laurent's fashionable interpretation, "The Mondrian Dress" from the 60's. The linear nature of it, plus the mathematical sequence mapped onto the body was the inspiration. It really lets the color blocking show itself in a fun way!
The inspo for this one a bit of an office fantasy: to feel like commander of your own Space Ship...enter this "Woman in Tech" Office-ready number: complete with Hubble Telescope NASA deep space imagery.
More to come soon! Stay tuned.
Have a concept you'd like to see? Don't hesitate to contact me- I'd love to hear your ideas!
